Position: Kitchen Assistant
Location: Belmont Secondary School, Rawtenstall
Salary: £13,335.40 per annum
Hours: 26 hours per week, 8am – 2pm Mon/ Wed/Thur, 10am – 2pm Tue/Fri
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

Due to growth in service, we are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Belmont Secondary School.
About the Role
We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to assist with general food preparation and lunch delivery at our Secondary site to start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be responsible for food preparation and supporting the Chef where required and ensuring food allergies/intolerances are considered.
Who we are looking for?
The ideal candidate will have experience and basic knowledge of food hygiene and food preparation skills.
Due to the environment, the successful candidate will be comfortable and understand the challenges when working in a special educational needs’ environment.
Essential
- Experience of working in a catering environment would be preferable
- A clean and efficient approach to work
- Ability to work under own initiative on occasion as well as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Understanding of the challenges of working in a Special Educational Needs environment.
