Position Summary
In accordance with established vision and values of the organization and working within the scope of Regional Northern Health Policies and Processes, the Laundry Worker III operates non-domestic laundry equipment such as washers/tunnel washers, extractors, dryers, etc. and provides supervision to designated Laundry Workers by performing duties such as scheduling and coordinating work assignments and determining related training and orientation requirements.
Prince Rupert Regional Hospital is a 24-bed facility that sees an average of 22,000 ER visits per year. It is a fully equipped facility with Medical Imaging, Laboratory, ICU, ER and Maternity. Services include:

Qualifications
- Grade 10, plus two years' recent related experience in a commercial or industrial laundry or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Ability to organize work.
- Some knowledge of washing ingredients.
