Evening/Weekend Library Assistants

The University Library is central to the student and staff experience. We place great emphasis on providing excellent customer service, a range of learning environments, easy access to a large variety of information resources, and support for the development of information literacy, academic and research skills. This role supports the user experience by providing in person services within the Library building. Experience of working in a library, information or educational environment is desirable, although not essential. The successful candidate will:

We have part time, term time only, open ended vacancies for library assistants in our evening & weekend team:

Post 1: Monday 17.30 – 20.00, Friday 17.30 – 20.00 & Saturday 13.00 – 17.30

Post 2: Wednesday 17.30 – 20.00 & Saturday 13.00 – 17.30

Post 3: Thursday 17.30 – 20.00, Saturday 09.00 – 13.00 & Sunday 09.00 – 13.00

The posts are: Open ended, part time, term time (31 weeks weekdays and 34 weeks weekends)

Salary will be on Administrative Services Grade 3 £24,794 - £26,230, pro-rata starting at the lowest point on the scale at an hourly rate of £12.89.
