Full-time Nanny/Assistant for a family located in Aspen, USA, $90,000 $100,000 gross per annum. Start ASAP

A highly recommended client is seeking a caring, responsible, and experienced nanny to care for their 8-year-old son.

As a Nanny you will be responsible for ensuring the childs well-being, assisting with his daily activities and routines, and creating a nurturing and stimulating environment. You will have a good understanding of child development and plan age-appropriate activities to support all aspects of his development.

Responsibilities and duties will include getting up and ready for school, ensuring the child takes his medication each morning, at the same time ensuring the family pets are catered to and transported to doggie daycare, preparing meals, ensuring good hygiene, dressing, school pick up and escorting to after school activities.

Whilst the young boy is at school you will organise all activities, play dates, social functions, and travel, get organised for the next school day, be responsible for diary management, teacher-parent communication as well as keeping medical appointments and prescriptions up to date.

You will perform light housekeeping duties related to the child, such as cleaning up after meals and tidying the childs room. Keeping the childs room and clothing organised, tracking chore and reward charts, planning for summer camps, and providing regular updates to the parents.

After school pick up at 3.15 pm you will assist with social and education development including homework. Ensure good behavior and boundaries are upheld including monitoring and use of technology.
The parents are very hands-on but require flexibility. The family resides in Aspen and works in Texas and overseas.

There will be much last-minute unplanned travel with late-night babysitting and proxy parenting should they need to leave the state or country.

You will be required to travel with the family and assist in ensuring a smooth experience.

The ideal candidate will be a hard working motivated Nanny looking to excel in their career. The family seeks a candidate who is very hard-working but maintains privacy. It is of the utmost importance to be a problem solver, eager to volunteer even when not asked, and to be prepared with creative solutions. You should have a sense of humor, patience, and a yes mentality, be able to create a relaxed living environment for the family, and fit into a happy family atmosphere.

Previous experience of working in private households is essential and previous work experience as a PA/House Manager is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) along with excellent organisation skills is essential.

The candidate will need to be a good driver and comfortable driving in the snow. The role is perfect for a candidate who enjoys living in a small mountain town with a love of the outdoors walking, hiking, skiing, etc and be happy to join the family on such excursions.

The working schedule is 6 days per week, Monday to Saturday 6:30 am 7:00 pm. It will be common to be dismissed early most days but should be available for last-minute dinner plans and trips out of town, as well as additional requests via telephone support, once left the family home.

A competitive salary is on offer to the right candidate up to $100,000 per annum plus benefits. Over time is compensated additionally for travel, proxy parent, babysitting, and overnights.

This is a live-out position with a shared private apartment provided in Aspen.
