Office Clerk

Our Yellowknife office is looking for an Office Clerk who will play an essential role in assisting the team in their day-to-day work.

Duties + Responsibilities
- Assist with physical paperwork handling for remote staff (corporate only).
- Verifying the presence of original documents for our off-site team. Involves pulling the physical files and verifying the presence of documents and/or scanning them
- Prepare packages for the registry per instructions received from the paralegals when documents are already in Yellowknife or are required to be filed urgently.
- Scanning documents signed by the partner.
- Filling away all corporate physical filing.
- Maintaining the organization of the corporate filing cabinets.
- Perform daily rounds.
- Back up for the Legal Support Clerk.
- Back up for answering the door and receiving incoming couriers and deliveries.
- Back up for boardroom preparation etc. for meetings with clients or office meetings.
- Updating physical files with labels when there are name changes, amendments etc.
- Put away any new physical files sent up from Edmonton
- Odds and ends corporate support work (ie. printing, scanning, searching, reviewing, updating etc.)
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications + Skills
- Experience working in a law firm or similar professional setting
- Advanced computer skills (picks up program navigation easily)
- Strong attention to detail.
Working Conditions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Normal week-day office hours (35)
