Fuji Vegetable Oil, Inc. is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic team player to join our CBE Team as a Process Tech for our Savannah, GA Plant. Our pay range for Process Tech I is $24.00/hr. - $26.00/hr. based on experience. 2 Bonus Opportunities each year based on Performance. This Swing Shift position is available immediately!

SUMMARY
The Processing Technician performs tasks associated with the receipt, handling, processing, blending, packaging, and bulk loading of vegetable oil. The Processing Technician operates and maintains edible oil processing equipment
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Operate computer driven process equipment, steam boilers, and wastewater treatment facilities.
Sample, measure, inventory, and check temperatures of tanks.
Receives and puts away chemicals, ingredients, and miscellaneous supplies.
Blend and transfer oil by operating valves, checking the heat tracing, and clearing lines.
Check the pump flow, controls, PH, and neutralization chemical levels of the wastewater system, adjusting as needed.
Monitor the conversion of fuels, the water feed system, and the controls on the low and high pressure boilers.
Contain and clean oil in the event of a spill.
Clean and change industrial filters.
Prepare the plant equipment for startup, shutdown, freeze plans, and hazardous weather conditions.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain processing equipment as needed.
Drive a fork lift truck to move drums and other production items.
Maintain and clean processing and plant areas.
Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to complete routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to communicate on a radio.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, and type on a computer keyboard. Must be able to distinguish between hot and cold to verify if the process line heat tracing is working. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk, including on cat walks or ladders approximately 60 feet above the ground; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear on the radio and telephone. Hearing is also used to monitor some equipment statuses. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision to read a computer screen including color coded indicators, pressure gauges, temperature and level gauges, gas and product flow indicators, and other measuring equipment.
The employee is occasionally required to work in confined spaces and must be able to pass a respiratory clearance test.

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is loud when around processing equipment.
