Your responsibilities

SUMMARY: The technical responsible for a production line with the target optimize performance. Working within a team to ensure the operations are as efficient as possible. The line tech is the primary first level response to machine issues supporting by resetting errors, helping with downtime and scrap issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • The Production Line Tech is assigned a line or a several lines and responsible to conduct the following activities within the assigned shift:
    • Stationed directly at the line as the first reaction for machine downtime, scrap and errors.
    • Resetting errors on production lines using company procedures and policies.
    • Conducts emergency machine repairs.
    • Responsible for machine calibration and MSA.
    • Support execution of machine referencing.
    • Support machine preventative maintenance process.
    • Maintain overall machine condition and the technical ownership of one line.
    • Takes all actions and necessary steps to deliver quality parts to our customer including quality sampling, testing and investigation.
    • Responsible to complete first/last/shift piece inspections
    • Leads all changeovers to meet the changeover target.
    • Troubleshoot machine issues using Z-point, Analysis CI, and Qs-Stat.
    • Evaluation and interpretation of production data (Collect and analyze data, making comments and recommendations to Engineering and Quality Department).
    • Interface between Maint/Eng/Prod.
    • Uses problem solving and root cause analysis to resolve machine issues.
    • Updating of all required shift documentation.
    • Responsible to ensure downtime, runtime, shift names and machine standstills are accounted and properly assigned.
    • Assists with continuous improvement projects such as scrap reduction, downtime reduction and tkps
    • Attend and be an active member in the S2QDC Meeting
    • Continually maintains top machine issues list addressing root cause corrective actions.
    • Technical support for 5S/TPM, maintains established housekeeping standards for all work areas on production floor.

Your profile

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Computer and Technology Skills:

Basic use of computer with Windows operating system, Microsoft office suite software and Maximo Maintenance Management System preferred.
