JOB PURPOSE
WFP Pakistan CO is seeking the services and/or expertise of a Programme Assistant (Database) to assist with the management of project data from the field at the Country Officer level. S/he would support all efforts related to the management of the project data; collection, entry, analysis and reporting, coordinate data gathering from the field, programme tracking, capacity strengthening for field staff, reporting and/or provision of data for key decisions of the project.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
1. Collate information including monthly production data from Chakkis for inclusion in reports, documents, and correspondence, to support with effective project monitoring and implementation. 2. Respond to standard queries and provide timely and accurate guidance. 3. Process and manage routine and monitoring data from the field, analyse and generate reports to contribute to effective and timely management of the programme and resources.4. Manage and maintain records and online databases, to ensure information is organised and readily available for staff and project use. 5. Maintain relationships with project staff and provision of data management support to assist in information sharing and service delivery.6. Analyse and proof-read reports, documentation, correspondence, etc., making changes in line with established guidelines where appropriate.7. Contribute to project monitoring and evaluation. 8. Provide guidance to Field Monitors and other Field staff on data gathering and reporting to generate quality data and reports for the donor and other key stakeholders.9. Perform other duties as required.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIION AND EXPERIENCE
Education:
First level university degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Public/Business Administration or other fields relevant to Data management.
Experience:
Five or more years of progressively responsible work experience in Data management, preferably contributing to food security and/or nutrition objectives with experience in general administrative work.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Understanding of fortification and wheat milling
- Proficient in the use of MS Excel and other data analytical tools/software
- Understanding of data collection tool, processing and converting data into information.
- Understanding of community-level programming
- Problem-solving skills
- Good analytical skills
- Collates accurate and timely information presented in required format.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality written outputs.
- Ability to work as part of a team, participating in open dialogues and valuing diverse opinions of others, regardless of gender, culture, background, and experience.
- Proficient computer literacy.
Languages:
Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Urdu. Fluency in local dialect of the duty station will be an asset.

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
The incumbent will operate under the direct supervision of the Information Management officer for SO2 and the CO Food Technologist (National Programme Manager) with overall guidance of the Head of Nutrition. The incumbent is expected to work closely with Provincial Teams, Field Monitors, Field Coordinators, CO and SO2 Nutrition Team.
