Job Title: Project Manager- Global Events
Location: USA Remote
Estimated start date: ASAP
Duration: 12 month contract with potential to extend- 40 hours/weekly
Payrate: $57.00-$62.00/hourly
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Global Events Project Manager to oversee operational processes, project management, and data analysis for our client's global proprietary and industry events. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the seamless execution of events by managing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration.
Event Operations:
- Manage the master calendar for B2B proprietary events, industry and other events ensuring global visibility and alignment.
- Develop and oversee templates, creative briefs, and event briefs to streamline event planning and execution processes.
- Manage post-event wrap-up reports, consolidating learnings and actionable insights for future events.
- Support Director and Global Events with ad hoc priorities and projects.
- Facilitate project meetings, set agendas, delegate tasks, and track progress to ensure clarity and accountability across teams.
- Lead project timelines, workflows, and operational logistics, ensuring all events are delivered on time and within budget.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure optimal rates and value while maintaining quality.
- Manage event vendor contracts, ensure vendor management compliance with legal, procurement, and finance policies during contract execution.
- Oversee event budgets, ensuring expenses are tracked, reported, and aligned with financial goals.
- Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, risks, and KPIs to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Create comprehensive reports to evaluate event outcomes and inform future planning.
- Coordinate industry event attendance and comms.
- Collect and analyze event performance data, including attendance, engagement, and ROI metrics, to inform post-event reports and future planning.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for events and business operations to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Evaluate event outcomes and inform future planning.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and implement project management best practices.
- Create comprehensive reports to evaluate event outcomes and inform future planning.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in project management, event planning, or a related field, with a focus on B2B events.
- Proficiency in tools like Asana, Trello, Smartsheet, MS Project, CRM or Salesforce. Advanced MS Office skills. Familiarity with event registration, survey or other project management tools is a plus.
- Strong ability to collect and interpret data to drive insights and decision-making.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present updates to senior stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working cross-functionally with diverse teams and external vendors.
- PMP or similar project management certification.
- Experience with live, virtual or hybrid event formats.
