Quality Assurance Trainee, 3rd Shift

Position Summary
As a Quality Assurance Trainee, you will work to Quality Technicians to ensure our manufacturing processes comply with Nestle’s high quality standards. This role works closely with operation leads and machine operator in identifying, solving, and preventing issues that could impact quality and food safety.

In this role, you’ll also handle:
  • Review processing records for accuracy, completeness and compliance to factory and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform inspections of processing areas to ensure high quality of products, services, housekeeping and GMP standards are maintained.
  • Monitor formula specifications, formula substitutions and other record keeping efforts for regulatory compliance and product specifications.
  • Hold "Out of specification" material. Communicate with supervisors
  • Collect microbiological samples of the factory environment.
  • Maintain work areas in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
  • Collect and communicate information to help management make decisions pertaining to food safety/quality incidents.
  • Take part in team efforts to problem solve issues that may arise in the production areas.
  • Participate in quality initiatives to continuously improve processes and documentation
  • Support training for line operators to ensure process checks are accurate and timely as stated in QMS
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience if food manufacturing is preferred but not required
  • Must be able to work in hot and cold environments
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently
  • Excellent time management, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer skills
