About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and ambitious Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our accounting firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong process-driven approach with excellent communication skills, coupled with relevant administrative/receptionist experience. This position involves the execution of various routine administrative tasks on a daily basis. Job Responsibilities:
- Engage with clients through professional phone etiquette and excellent communication skills.
- Manage smooth office operations by handling opening and closing procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting with account inquiries and receiving payments.
- Demonstrate efficiency in typing correspondence and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Contribute to organizational efficiency by updating project lists and assisting with tax return processing.
- Create a welcoming environment by greeting and attending to clients and visitors.
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace, including the lobby and kitchen area, while keeping the refreshment station well-stocked.
- Work hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with extended hours during Tax Season and Saturdays (January - April).
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in office administration preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Prioritize customer-oriented service, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Strong emotional intelligence, problem-solving skills, and inherent self-motivation.
- Physical ability to stand and sit for long periods, and lift 30 lbs.
