Receptionist / Front Desk Staff

Job Description

• Greeting visitors, determine purpose of visit, and direct visitors to appropriate person or service

• Answer and forward telephone calls, take messages

• Place outgoing calls as requested

• Maintain records as required and performs clerical work as assigned following Extendicare policies and procedures; maintain current, orderly filing system

• Accounts Payable - posting Invoices in Workday.
• Monthly Accrual Report

• Maintain office equipment by following guidelines in owner manuals and contacting service repair as necessary

• Order and monitor Office Supplies

• Update resident lists, Print out resident’s labels, Ancillary charges- Beautician, Podiatrist, and Access ride charges in PCC.

• Update disaster fan out list, phone list as needed

• Sending monthly Annual Care Conferences reminder

• Trust and Petty cash disbursement

• Receive trust deposit from residents / families, and write out receipts for cash payments.

• Assist Admin in updating WHMIS, and Fire plans as needed.

• Monitor front door for residents at risk to elope

• Adhere to established policies and procedures regarding quality assurance, fire, safety, and environment and infection control.

• Assist the Office Manager as needed.

• All other duties as assigned.
