About The Role

About us:

Islington Town Hall is the home of Say I do in Islington and the City of London.

The Town Hall, on fashionable Upper Street, is home to the registration service and our ceremony rooms. This impressive, listed building, with its grand façade and sweeping marble staircase, not only provides an elegant setting for marriage and civil partnership ceremonies, but is also where we provide a range of other registration appointments such as birth registrations, taking notices of marriage and civil partnership, British citizenship ceremonies and the registration of deaths.

The Role:

If you like the idea of being involved in and contributing to family life defining moments, we’re looking for someone to join our team.

We are looking for a Registration and Ceremonies Officer to join us and play an important role within our existing pool of staff. You will provide a range of services including birth and death registration, notice of marriage/civil partnership, conducting and registering at various ceremonies such as marriage/civil partnership and citizenship.

Please note, registration experience is essential for this role.

Due to the nature of the work, you will be required to work Monday to Friday and periodic weekends and bank holidays.

About you:

We’re looking for confident, friendly, calm, warm, well presented people with a passion for excellent customer service and an enthusiasm to learn. You will be organised, tactful and capable of thinking on your own two feet.

In return, you can look forward to a job that you will love, in a fantastic location. You will receive a competitive salary with enhanced pay at the weekend, access to a pension scheme and generous annual leave allowance.
