ZERN is funded by “zukunft.niedersachsen“ a program of the Ministry of Science and Culture of Lower Saxony and the Volkswagen Foundation. Your responsibilities:
- Conduct research at the nexus of agricultural, food, and international economics
- Possible research areas may include, but are not limited to: food safety and environmental regulations, trade policy and global agricultural value chains, and resilience of agrifood supply chains to shocks and uncertainty
- Collecting and analysing empirical data from surveys or secondary sources
- Willingness to publish in international peer-reviewed journals and presentation of results at conferences and workshops
- An excellent degree (M.Sc./ M.A.) in agricultural economics, economics, or a related discipline (close to completion of Master is also possible)
- Strong quantitative research skills
- Very good command of the English language. Knowledge of the German language is an advantage
- Personal initiative, commitment, and an excellent team player
