The Ministry of Agriculture has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and self-confident individual with excellent client service, interpersonal and communication skills. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Moose Jaw, SK at the Agriculture Knowledge Centre (AKC), the Ministry of Agriculture's provincial call center.

In this position, you will be the first point of contact for farmers, ranchers and agri-business clients who are contacting the AKC by telephone or email. You will provide comprehensive information and support on a wide range of agricultural topics, programs and services. You will also have knowledge of the agriculture industry, current issues and terminology.

As a Resource Agent, you will:

• Be a problem solver and be very knowledgeable about using the internet and resources to research information for clients;
• Be client-service focused with the ability to listen and interpret inquiries;
• Be able to work very effectively in a team environment and be open to new challenges and learning on a daily basis;
• Have knowledge of and be comfortable with using a variety of databases, spreadsheets and other business applications for program delivery; and
• Have the ability to both lead and work with others on a wide range of projects and programs.

Typically, this knowledge would be gained through the completion of a certificate in office management/administration and/or several years of experience in client service and the agriculture industry.

The salary for this position will be updated to $26.002 – $32.589 once the Class Plan Renewal process is completed and the HR system has been updated.
