Principal purpose of role
  • To be an active team member across all activities involved in the day-to-day operation of an effective retail shop and admissions department, including ticketing, sales, stock replenishment, and cleaning
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Identify and action opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell
  • Answer telephone queries when necessary

Area of responsibility/tasks
  • Ensure that shop, reception and ticketing areas are clean, tidy and presented to a high standard at all times
  • Maintain a good level of product knowledge of offerings across the whole of Heligan
  • Provide visitors and customers with an excellent service, anticipating their needs
  • Providing a warm welcome and helpful information to our Members, Locals Pass holders and general visitors
  • Issue wheelchairs and mobility scooters
  • Take events bookings at key times (training will be provided)
  • Work between varied retail, admissions and reception tasks throughout the day, as directed
