Job Overview
The Specialist, Care Facilities (CFS) role is responsible for maintaining a safe, healthy, and secure functional Customer Experience Center (CEC) environment.

The CFS collaborates closely with their on-site and national peers, Regional Facilities Manager, HQ Leadership, CEC Leadership, vendors, and cross-functional partners to implement strategic direction, maintain a safe working environment, while balancing immediate on-site needs and asks. This position is the first point of contact for CEC facilities operations and is expected to operate efficiently, prioritize effectively, ensure quality workmanship, and interact with all employees, visitors, and partners with an ambassador-like approach.

The CFS provides the support and analysis for overall day-to-day operations and facility management for assigned Care site in partnership with facilities peers. The position responds to issues and site facilities needs including but not limited to; minor maintenance repairs; event setup/takedown; comfort control; prepare reports and light analysis; project participation and tracking of program/project milestones; oversee tactical progress for assigned programs; place work and goods orders; expense reports and vendor payment; disaster planning; identify & resolve issues, process improvements, or recommend controls and measurements; oversees projects as warranted.

The CFS role will be based out of a CEC and rare travel may be required to assist another location or join a department meeting. The role will share responsibility for 24/7/365 on-call availability with on-site facilities peers. Shared responsibility for occasional off-shift work will be required to support vendors, maintenance, or site events.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for resolving facilities issues in support of maintaining a safe, healthy environment for CEC staff and visitors including, but not limited to:

  • Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing

  • Janitorial/Caf/lawn (etc.) vendor management ensuring work is complete and quality levels met

  • Security partnership; audit support

  • Event support

  • Signage ordering, placement, maintenance

  • Mailroom; Receiving/Shipping deliveries

  • Supplies/equipment ordering/receiving

The role is responsible for familiarity with current city, state, and federal codes and regulations governing the facility. The role is also responsible for authorship and upkeep of Facilities Benchmarking and Disaster Business Continuity plans for facility.

The role will coordinate in-house moves, adds, or changes, including system furniture reconfigurations, special accommodation & ergonomic equipment, and new construction. Review and collaborate on related drawings, specifications, and estimates. Support vendor access, supplies or equipment needs. Coordinate on- and off-site storage activity. Conflict resolution to support successful initiative completion.

Partner with facilities peer(s) on site financial and reporting responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Preparation and monitoring of monthly site budget tracker, generation of Purchase Orders, track invoices and AP processing.

  • Awareness of contracts for maintenance and repair of facility, operating budgets, and reconciliation of expenses.

  • Awareness/participation of initiatives, and priorities expected to help meet site and Enterprise objectives.

  • Collaborate with TMUS Engineering, IT, Finance, Procurement, Environmental Health & Safety, and Corporate Real Estate for special facility-related projects.

Partner with Regional Facilities Manager and Critical Infrastructure Team to support quarterly preventative and as-needed maintenance of critical equipment, including HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems, fire-life-safety systems, and related services. Partner with HQ Security, Environmental Health & Safety and Corporate Real Estate on audits and enhancement projects.

Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as needed by the business.

Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)

Work Experience:

  • Experience working in a multi-building, multi-campus or call center facility. (Preferred)

  • Experience working with HVAC or other mechanical systems as well as furniture systems. (Preferred)
