As a member of the Surveillance Metrology Department under Manufacturing Engineering, you will be working with the infrastructure team assisting the ARAMIS Database Manager to create variety of reports to management from the ARAMIS Database as well as communicating with different Metrology customers at Raytheon nationwide resolving any database related issues daily. You will be creative and innovative, possessing strong organizational, coordination, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills. In the position, you must be able to collaborate with customers, employees, and senior leaders when recommending process and procedural improvements. This is an onsite position.
What You Will Do
Working directly with the ARAMIS Database Manager to learn details about the Metrology ARAMIS Database that is currently being used
Create reports that are not currently in the Database as requested by Management
Response to any Database related issues and bottlenecks in all sites under the Surveillance Metrology Department
Communicating with different team members and provide problem solving techniques to resolve and/or improve current processes
Get familiar with the Metrology definitions and requirements
Provide Data analysis reports as needed
Understand and solve identified business problems from curated datasets
Work with engineering teams to improve data collection procedures
Process, clean, and verify the integrity of data. Investigate new sources that can
extend and improve our insights
Design experiments that will measure and test for key performance indicators
Design analytical solutions and experiments
Conduct data exploration, feature engineering, visualization and develop models
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
Experience with Databases platforms
Experience with Visual Basic
SQL (Structured Query Language for database management and querying)
Excel (Advanced skills, pivot tables, macros, etc.)
Qualifications We Prefer
Problem-Solving: Ability to tackle complex business problems using data and find actionable insights.
Statistical Knowledge: Understanding of statistical methods and how they can be applied to data analysis.
Data Visualization Tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
Data Cleaning & Transformation: Expertise in data wrangling, cleaning, and organizing large datasets.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Data Storytelling: Ability to present complex data and analysis in a clear way to non-technical stakeholders.
Report Writing and Presentation: Crafting detailed reports and delivering presentations that summarize insights, trends, and actionable recommendations.
Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver data-driven solutions.
Familiarity with Metrology related concepts such as traceability, measurement tolerance/uncertainty and calibration intervals.
Data Modeling: Knowledge of creating predictive models, especially with regression analysis, machine learning, etc.
Ability to build positive, lasting relationships with internal customers.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Coordination and collaboration with Raytheon associates to ensure compliance with customer requirements, and providing recommendations for adequate types of test equipment
Project Management Skills may be a plus
Knowledge of Statistical Software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS) is a plus
Knowledge of Metrology and ASNI, NCSL Z540 and ISO 17025 standards is a plus
Master’s Degree is a plus

The salary range for this role is 90,000 USD - 182,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
