Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and determined individual seeking a busy and production driven stores role here at JDR Cable Systems in Littleport.
The Stores Department manages all goods and materials received and issued for the manufacture of Cables, Hoses, Umbilicals and Reelers. We are looking for a Stores Person at our Littleport facility to assist with our busy stores operation and support the preparation and dispatch of finished products.
As a computer literate and driven candidate, you will adhere to the following duties:
- Work proactively to ensure the smooth running of the Goods In/Stores, kitting and dispatch to maintain on time delivery for internal and external customers.
- Enter transactions carried out on Visual manufacturing system ensuring these are correct, accurate and done in a timely manner to maintain correct stock levels and values in the system
- Assist with the training of others, e.g. New staff/inductions to ensure compliance of the Goods In/Stores procedures and processes.
- Ensure that all paperwork and materials relative to each job is correctly completed to maintain traceability.
Job Requirements
Ideally you will have previous experience of working within a stores or warehouse environment where the ability to follow procedure is essential. A current Forklift licence is advantageous but not essential. This role will also require a degree of manual handling.
