di.monta is a start-up focused on developing robot and AI-assisted solutions for automated battery dismantling. As the demand for batteries grows, resource scarcity and EU recycling regulations make efficient dismantling more crucial than ever. Your Profile

We are seeking students with a background in:

  • Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering, with a focus on automation and machine learning.
  • Computer Science, particularly with experience in artificial intelligence and software development.

Your Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on designing, implementing, and testing di.skills (e.g. skills regarding discovery, ontology, planning, and detachment). This can include machine learning models for robotic automation.
  • Analyze and improve algorithms for battery dismantling tasks.
  • Support the integration of AI solutions with robotic systems.
  • Contribute to the project’s documentation and research publications.

What We Offer

The successful candidate will be employed as a student assistant.
The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date and offered for a fixed term of one year.
This is a part-time contract position.
The standard weekly hours will be 12-19 hours.
The salary is based on the RWTH Guidelines for Student and Graduate Assistants.
The position corresponds to a pay grade of 13,25 euros per hour.
