Who are we looking for?

Barrie knitwear is committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all our employees and visitors. We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Temporary Cleaner to join our team and help ensure our facilities are kept in pristine condition. We are looking for an experienced cleaner to ideally work Monday – Friday for a minimum of 25 hours, but up to 30 hours is available. The successful candidate would start as soon as possible and join us a 3 month fixed term contract.

What do we need?

The Temporary Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across all areas of our facility. This role is crucial in creating a positive and healthy environment for our staff and visitors. Your key responsibilities are sumarised below:

  • Clean and sanitize designated areas including offices, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
  • Dust, mop, sweep, vacuum, and polish surfaces and floors.
  • Empty trash bins and replace liners.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
  • Restock supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
  • Follow safety protocols and use cleaning products and equipment correctly.
  • Ensure cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard within allocated timeframes.
  • Perform additional cleaning duties as required.

What will you bring to the role?

  • Previous cleaning experience essential.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
  • Good physical condition and the ability to perform various cleaning tasks.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
