The Herzfeld Research Group is seeking a temporary researcher.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • Optimization of DDA-ice algorithm and algorithm for surface-height determination of glaciated areas in the HMA Svalbard regions.
  • Application to ICESat-2 and satellite image data.

What We Can Offer

The hire rate for this temporary, part-time position will be $20.00 per hour.

What We Require

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Physics, and experience as a student research assistant in the Herzfeld Research Group.

What You Will Need

Good mathematical knowledge and computer coding skills, experience with the DDA-ice and related algorithms for analysis of surface height data over glaciated regions and complex terrain; writing skills.

What We Would Like You to Have

Minor in Geosciences or interest in Geosciences demonstrated in coursework.
