Transport Planner

Our client a leading logistics company is looking to hire a Transport Planner for their offices in North Dublin

Normal Hours:
Normal working hours will follow a weekly/bi-weekly rotating shift of Monday to Friday, 5am to 2pm and 12pm to 9pm, including every 3rd Saturday. You will be rostered to work alternate public holidays.

N.B There is no bus service to this location – own car esential

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• As a Transport Planner you will plan and monitor domestic vehicle utilisation, load planning, and trunking performance for transport, road freight, and logistics customers.
• Manage transport administration, update collection/delivery statuses, and handle transport queries.
• Liaise with warehouse staff and drivers to ensure smooth operations and excellent service.
• Process new job data, apply customer rates, and maintain accurate records in the client’s systems.
• Ensure compliance with customs procedures for trailer arrivals and offloading.
• Address customer and driver queries, providing shipment tracking and resolving issues promptly.
• Oversee driver debriefs and ensure proper use of apps, handheld units, and the GPS system for fleet operations.
• Maintain high standards of customer service throughout all interactions.

• Self-motivated, able to work as part of a team and independently.
• Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.

Salary: €35,000 – €40,000 (Based on Experience)
