Responsibilities:
- Operate multiple pieces of equipment - Excavators, Loaders, Skid Steer and Rock Truck
- Fill out and understand an equipment logbook
- Perform daily basic service and preventative maintenance on equipment
- Interprets verbal and non-verbal communication (including hand signals) from operators, ground personnel and Labourers, and acts accordingly
- Recognize existing and potential hazards and know how to identify these through conducting a field level pre-job hazard analysis, checking the machine for hazards and assessing any tasks before starting
- Operate equipment in a safe manner be willing to comply with Ledcor’s safety commitments
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience operating various heavy equipment
- Demonstrate skills and experience with working around utilities, tight spaces
- Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
- Successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
- Valid government photo ID (driver’s license, passport etc.)
- Client online orientations must be completed
Work Conditions:
- Position commencing as soon as possible
- Work schedule: 4 days on, and 3 days off plus statutory holidays off, 40 hours per week
- Extended health benefits provided by CLAC
- This is a local position—candidates must reside in the Greater Edmonton area. No camp accommodation or travel allowances provided
