Warehouse Operative

Are you an experienced warehouse operative looking for an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills and help drive our operation forward? We are currently recruiting for a full-time, permanent, Warehouse Operative to join us at our team in Sherburn in Elmet, supporting our customer, Sainsbury’s.

From receiving and storing products to picking, packing, and dispatching orders, you could be involved in all aspects of our warehouse operations. This role requires you to work in the ambient, chill and freezer chamber when required and you will be supplied with all the equipment to keep you warm!

Due to this being a new business win for GXO, please see below various shifts we have, to suit your needs:

• 
  Tuesday to Saturday – 10:00 till 18:00
• Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday – 12:00 – 20:00
• Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday – Rotating 06: 00 – 14:00 and 14:00 – 22:00

As a Warehouse Operative you’ll get:

• An hourly rate of £12.39 – equating to a salary depending on shifts between, £25,771.00 - £27,955.00 per annum
• An additional £2.65 for any hours worked after 18:00
• An additional £1.01 for any hours worked on Saturdays
• An additional £1.59 for any hours worked on Sundays
• A fixed overtime rate of £18.59 per hour
• Freezer allowance of £80 paid every 4 weeks

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Picking and packing orders from a wide range of products using voice picking system
• Get involved in other warehouse-related duties that may arise during your shift
• Comply with all health and safety regulations within the warehouse
• Operate MHE equipment where required – full training provided!

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Willingness to work in a freezer environment
• Previous experience in a similar position would be advantageous
• Flexibility and a ‘can do’, right first time and passionate approach
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including lifting, pulling, and pushing
