Warehouse Operative

We deliver around 1.3million loaves, every day of the week throughout the UK and Ireland, where we also make Mothers Pride and Ormo products.

We are 2,800 people working within 8 bakeries, 1 flour mill, and 2 regional distribution centres across the UK. Our success is a result of the hard work of our people; they are experts in their field whether it’s baking, manufacturing, logistics, engineering, or the many departments within the central functions team based in our head office in High Wycombe. We are currently looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our team in Dagenham to ensure that Hovis Ltd are in a position at all times to supply their customers according to agreed timescales and expectations

Key Accountabilities

• To accurately and efficiently assemble customers orders using the warehouse management system
• Observe all relevant safe systems of work
• To ensure any poor quality items are removed from the order assembly
• To accept personal responsibility for own working area to ensure your personal safety and that of others
• To suport the team in achieving the business KPI's for the department
• To contribute to performance improvement initiatives

Essential Criteria

• At least 18 years of age
• Good standard of literacy and numeracy
• Ability to learn new techniques and to embrace change
• Willing to undertake training where necessary

Desireable Criteria

• Previous experience working in a FMCG warehouse environment
• Previous shift working experience
