Warehouse Worker

The successful candidate for this full-time, permanent position will be responsible for assembling orders to be shipped to schools and Division buildings as well as delivering mail and supplies.

• operating division vehicles to deliver supplies and mail to schools and other division buildings in a safe and courteous manner
• inspecting and loading outbound deliveries
• conducting pre-trip inspections and maintaining vehicle logs
• replenishing shelves with stock
• picking, packing and shipping orders with accuracy including document preparation
• maintaining vehicle cleanliness and good housekeeping within the warehouse
• participating in inventory counts
• ensuring work is completed safely and in accordance with Division Occupational Health Safety practices

• high school diploma
• a minimum of two years related experience including general warehouse and delivery experience
• valid class 5 Alberta Operator’s License
• ability to lift items up to 30 kilograms
• experience using a forklift and/or material handling equipment
• knowledge and experience with computers including Microsoft Office
• excellent communications skills and customer service focus

$29.88 per hour

Preference will be given to applicants who have previous related experience including equipment operation.

The successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete required occupational health and safety courses (WHMIS, TDG, and department equipment), as required by the employer and must be able to provide a Drivers Abstract upon hire.
