Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated, organised and detail-oriented candidate to join our busy team as a Warehouse Assistant on a full-time basis to work alongside our Warehouse Manager. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, excellent communication skills, computer literacy and be physically able to perform the daily tasks within a busy warehouse environment. Full training will be given by the warehouse manager.

Wage: £26’000/yr, rising to £27’000/yr upon successful completion of probation period.

Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Flexibility and weekend work during peak trading periods may be required.

Essential Requirements:

- Buckets full of enthusiasm and willingness to learn new skills

- Ability to carefully follow directions and complete tasks as instructed

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks throughout the workday with enthusiasm

- You will be on your feet for most of the working day

- Use of handheld technology and time in front of a computer screen

Advantageous Skills/Attributes:

- Experience in warehouse/retail operations, including picking, packing and inventory management

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively

- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and communication.

- Proficient with computerised systems and familiarity with warehouse management systems

- Excellent data entry skills with a keen eye for detail

- Forklift license

Responsibilities:

- To deal with all aspects of the warehouse operation, including receiving and storing goods, picking and packing orders to despatch, maintaining an efficient warehouse

- Perform data entry tasks with accuracy and efficiency using spreadsheets and warehouse management system

- Assist warehouse manager with all duties as required to maintain a safe and efficient warehouse
