Description

The Administrative Office of the Courts is the operational arm of the Judicial Branch. The court system employs nearly 3,300 personnel who support 406 elected justices, judges, and circuit court clerks.

The Bracken, Fleming, and Mason County District Court has an immediate need for a Judicial Support Specialist. The JSS position is responsible for providing general secretarial functions such as typing, filing, transcribing, scheduling, and screening.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Prepare court orders, correspondence, and other material for judge.
Proofread documents for accuracy.
Serve as receptionist.
Schedule all court appearances for judge.
Compile and maintain computer calendar and printed copy of schedule.
Compile and maintain list of proposed available dates for scheduling.
May develop and maintain record-keeping filing system for office.
Operate various office equipment.
Maintain office filing systems.
Order and maintain office supplies.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: High school graduate or GED
