Effective January 1st, 2024 the salary range for this position is $26.92 to $31.31 per hour in compliance with OPSEU Correctional Bargaining Unit collective agreement provisions. The new rates, effective retroactive to January 1, 2024, were recently confirmed and dates for implementation of the new salary rates are still to be determined.

What can I expect to do in this role?
- prepare a variety of correspondence, including confidential and professional reports (e.g., classification reports, psychiatric/psychological reports, medial reports, inventory reports) and financial statements;
- oversee the flow of information, track documents and maintain accurate records;
- schedule appointments and make travel arrangements for manager;
- establish and maintain a local filing system in accordance to record management guidelines and standards.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- You can work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with managers, staff and members of the public.
- You have excellent writing skills to prepare written correspondence, including reports, letters and meeting minutes.
Record and File Management Skills
- You can manage files and records, track documents and manage the flow of information.
- You can establish and maintain a filing system by following record management guidelines and standards.
- You have interpretive knowledge of practices and/or procedures related to the confidentiality and disclosure of information.
Analytical, Problem-Solving and Organizational Skills
- You can identify and resolve administrative-related issues.
- You can verify accuracy and completeness of documents, files and information, and correct discrepancies.
- You can determine workload priorities and manage conflicting deadlines, while working in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive pressures.
Computer Skills
You are proficient in MS Word, Excel, as well as electronic mail, spreadsheet, database and presentation software to produce a variety of documents, correspondence, reports and spreadsheets.
Administrative Skills
