Summary
Member of the Benefits team with focus on providing support in the administration of employee Health & Welfare benefit plans. The Benefits Assistant will use proficient organization and communication skills to coordinate with various departments, teams, and vendors.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage flow and assignment of all company benefits related helpdesk tickets, including FMLA, LOA, STD & 401K, researching and working with other benefits team members to resolve incoming inquiries.
  • Primary point of contact for ADP enrollment approvals: OE, Year-Round, Life Events & GI/EOI.
  • Handle and update employee ACA benefit status and enrollment.
  • Review and handle qualifying life event and new hire enrollments.
  • Inputting employee related documentation into ADP DocuCloud.
  • Updating employee benefit eligibility coding (New Hire, Rehire, Status Changes, Terminations).
  • Handling and tracking of employee medical support orders in ADP.
  • Prepare deduction authorization forms for missed or overpaid premiums and work with the HR partners or employees directly to finalize and authorize the correction, then with the payroll team to ensure its complete.
  • Prepare Benefit Verification letters as requested from employees or legal entities.
  • Manage daily department mail distribution.
  • Cross train with other benefits team members to provide support and coverage during absences as needed.
  • Assist with special projects and annual benefits open enrollment.
  • Daily interaction with HR and Payroll personnel.
  • Additional special assignments when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a broad array of Health & Welfare benefit plans with an acute attention to detail.
  • Bilingual (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now (preferred).
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel (preferred).
  • Strong work ethic and team player.
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.
  • Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $20.75 - $27.75 / Hourly. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
