Annual Salary: $49,366.2 - $61,719.45
The Administrative Assistant is accountable to the Director – Outpatient Rehabilitative Care & Director – Inpatient Complex & Rehabilitative Care and Directors of Complex Care & Physical Rehabilitation for the provision of confidential administrative services related to planning and operational meetings, labour relations activities, and client and staff complaints. The Administrative Assistant provides supportive functions for the Directors including preparation and coordination of agendas and supportive documents related to the management of the assigned clinical programs.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in office administration, business administration, or secretarial program
- Significant related work experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Demonstrated ability in progressively more responsible positions
Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, coworkers, other SJCG staff, Residents, and the public
- Demonstrated accuracy, organizational skills, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills with the ability to effectively prioritize workload to meet various deadlines
- Excellent minute-taking, typing and computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Powerpoint and Visio
- Excellent interpersonal and public relation skills
- Ability to use independent judgment and maintain confidentiality of records, actions, and information
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work
Assets:
- Ability to converse in a second language would be an asset
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
