Bayshore is looking for passionate and caring Home Support Workers, to join our amazing team. You will be creating special moments for clients each and every day. We offer paid education and practical training spanning over a minimum of 8 weeks (about 2 months).

The training will be Monday – Friday in our branch office in Thunder Bay.

The first part of your journey as a Bayshore employee will be receiving theoretical education. Following classroom education, you will be placed with a skilled preceptor to complete your practical training. You will learn the fundamentals to become a Home Support Worker. During your education you will have continuous access to a Bayshore Clinical Educator. Upon completion of the employer-specific training, you will start working immediately with Bayshore clients, in the local community. No prior healthcare experience required.

You have a positive and friendly approach to interacting with all types of people.

Compassionate and patient demeanor with genuine desire to help others.

Full Time Commitment and driver’s license and vehicle required.

A friendly Recruiter will reach out to you by telephone to ask you some qualifying questions. No healthcare certificate or prior experience is required but considered an asset. Other experience that prepares you for HSW Training- housekeeping, hospitality, dietary aide, companionship, foreign trained caregiver, informal care giving experience.
