Main Purpose

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team of Administrative Support Assistants at 100 Air Refueling Wing, Royal Air Force Mildenhall, United Kingdom.

The primary purpose of this position is: To perform financial technician and office administrative duties to

facilitate Chapel Tithes and Offerings (CTOF) and general office activities in support of installation Chapel

programs.

Perform a variety of technical tasks related to budget execution and records maintenance for the chapel.

Monitors equipment, facility, and supply management of 100 Air Refueling Wing RAF Mildenhall. Conduct inventory and management of chapel owned property.

Perform administrative management for the Chapel. While performing receptionist duties and answering the

telephone, will follow telephone etiquette, take, and process messages, greet visitors, and respond to crisis situations.

Manage and execute volunteer programs for the Chapel. In coordination with the appointed Background Check

Knowledge and Experience Required

Applicants must demonstrate the following:

1. Knowledge of and experience applying a body of standardized regulations, requirements, procedures, and operations associated with clerical and technical duties related to accounting support functions (i.e., classifying, maintaining, reconciling, examining, and closing accounts); accounting files, listings, and document control systems; the relationships between accounts; and the effect of debit and credit entries on the accounts and systems.

2. Knowledge of and experience using an automated accounting system sufficient to input a range of standard information or adjustments, understand recurring error reports and take corrective action, and generate a variety of standard reports.

3. Knowledge of a body of budget and financial management regulations, practices, procedures, and policies related to financial management activities.

4. Knowledge of and experience applying extensive rules, procedures, operations, functions, and commitments applied to secretarial and clerical assignments to perform the procedural and administrative work of the office, such as screening calls and visitors, maintaining supervisor’s calendar, preparing, reviewing, and editing documents, locating, and assembling information for various reports, maintaining files/records, and making and preparing travel arrangements.

5. Knowledge of and experience performing word processing, spreadsheet, email, presentation, and database automation software functions to support office operations and produce a variety of textual documents, graphs, tables, reports, etc.

6. Skill in operating a calculator and utilizing a keyboard to access or locate information using a personal computer or terminal.

7. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

8. Ability to lift, remove, and/or store light items.

Other Important Information

· Hours of work: Mon- Fri 08.00 – 16.30 Start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with organization’s flexible working policies.

· Will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules, and regulations.

· Must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.

· May be assigned other duties that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the employee.

· May be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training.

· Position may be coded as mission essential.

· A 6-month probationary period will be required.

· Overtime may be required.

· May be required to travel overnight to US or other countries in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training.
