Job Summary

The Assistant Stylist's main responsibility will be supporting Stylists on set working the day to day e-commerce product shoots. This includes steaming, pulling accessories, dressing models, and organizing and returning racks. You will also assist the Sample Coordinators and Production Assistants with the organization of samples and merchandise coming in and out of the studio. This entry-level role supports the styling team in our LA studio. The Assistant Stylist will be responsible for any and all duties that may arise or as directed by the Studio Manager or Head Stylist.

What You'll Do

• Ability to learn on set standards and styling techniques and execute properly
• Assist models both on and off set, making sure all garments are prepared for shooting
• Assist stylists on photoshoots with steaming, dressing models, SKU notes, packing and on-set assistance
• Communicate effectively and efficiently on-set to ensure product is shot accurately and daily shot count goals are met
• Assist and maintain an organized flow for outfits and accessories to be shot
• Ensure merchandise is returned with proper documentation and on deadline
• Maintain cleanliness of the studio including organizing the racks, tidying the sets once shooting is complete
• Contribute to the organization of the studio space and sample process
• Help manage the studio inventory and participate in monthly audits
• Has tons of initiative, ideas, and energy
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a creative and critical eye
• Any other duties as instructed by the Head Stylist
  
  

What You'll Need

• 1+ years of on-set styling experience and understanding of studio environments
• Acute attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to dive deep, seek solutions, and make practical decisions and suggestions
• Ability to work well under pressure, multitask, and adhere to deadlines
• Proficient in Gmail and Google Drive
• Ability to recognize current trends and forecast emerging and upcoming trends
• Understanding of the Lulus brand and customer
• Ability to contribute to a positive team morale
  
  

Nice to Have - Bonus Points!

• Fashion background preferred, apparel and accessory retail experience, pursuing art/design/fashion degree or relevant interest and experience
• Proficient in Mac computer systems
• Working knowledge of Capture One, Creative Force, and Adobe Creative Suite
