Start Date – 1st April 2024

Rate of pay: £13.49 per hour

Working hours: Monday to Friday - 8am to 5pm

Length of contract: 6 Months

*This is an office-based role with the opportunity to progress to hybrid once fully competent in the role.

This is an office-based role with the opportunity to progress to hybrid once fully competent in the role.

The main purpose of the Cash team is to process all cash requirements whether that be a customer request or an internal movement, all while ensuring compliance with relevant FCA/CASS regulations.

We use a multitude of methods to complete these requests such as cheque processing, faster payments and more. We ensure to work closely with customer facing and operational teams alike to ensure all payments are completed within the agreed timeframe to achieve the best customer outcome.

Working in a team impacted by CASS regulations, attention to detail is key, and although at times this role will involve working in a high pressure environment with minimal supervision, we'll provide great training and help you further develop an in depth knowledge of our products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Processing cash movements within CASS parameters ensuring regulation standards are followed at all times when handling Client and Firm Money.

- Assisting Operational Teams with any cash processes that may impact their role such as Dividend processing, and Corporate Event money allocation.

- Work though any Cash discrepancies which arise from the Reconciliation’s team reports and rectifying in a timely manner.

- Providing support to customer facing colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for customers.

- Work within the parameters set by your Team Manager to meet your work allocation and personal and professional development targets

- Readiness to identify and suggest improvements to new and existing processes, procedures and systems

Skills:

- Capable of making the right judgement decisions in order to ensure the best customer outcomes

- Strong communication skills, and able to present factual information in a logical and structured way

- IT literate, comfortable with the use of keyboard and software applications and mail merge processes

- Able to use arithmetical/numerical skills to undertake a range of basic calculations

- Flexible and adaptable to changing demands.

- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
