The Data Analyst works with a variety of business owners, system owners, engineers, and data experts to understand CSUSA's data and utilize advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to gather, analyze, interpret, and visualize that data to inform legal strategies, policy formulation, and decision-making processes. The Data Analyst is highly skilled in all aspects of data analytics, including mining, generation, and visualization. Additionally, this individual is committed to transforming data into readable, goal-oriented reports that drive innovation and growth.

How You Will Impact Education

Gather and process data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and accuracy. Create clear and concise reports, dashboards, and presentations to convey data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical audiences in a timely manner. Use data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present complex information in an understandable and visually appealing manner. Assist in the maintenance and continuous improvement of current reports, dashboards, and presentations through regular customer reviews and revisions. Explain the underlying data accompanying reports, charts, and dashboards for presenters and/or audiences, as needed. Provide recommendations based on data insights to support strategic decision-making and process improvements. Partner with internal business process owners and subject matter experts to gather, document, and analyze business needs. Employ advanced analytics techniques to analyze large, longitudinal datasets, uncover trends, and generate actionable insights. Ensure all data-sharing rules and system requirements are followed to safeguard sensitive information. Ensure documentation is updated, including formulas, calculations, and data dictionaries utilized for reporting and analysis. Identify and rectify data anomalies or discrepancies as they arise, identify gaps in data and additional datasets to support the synthesis of data, and implement data validation and cleaning processes to maintain data quality standards. Required Qualifications and Skills

Strong customer service orientation. Active and attentive listener. Regularly monitor and verify the integrity of data sources and assist with effective data management. Collect relevant data from appropriate sources including websites, applications, databases, surveys, cloud platforms, and internal collection tools. Demonstrates excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language. Ability to communicate in a timely and professional manner. Ability to flowchart data paths. Ability to work independently with general guidance on outcomes and objectives. Organized and able to successfully multitask. Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required. Effective documentation and reporting skills

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3+ years proven experience in developing and working dashboards and analytics in BI platforms such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc. Excellent Microsoft Office and statistical software skills. Ability to interpret technical or dashboard structure and translate complex business requirements to technical specifications. Demonstrable experience in effective visual design, utilizing color, size, chart type, and other strategies for effective presentation. Ability to query and display large data sets while maximizing performance and efficiency within data warehousing. Strong knowledge of common statistics required. A solid understanding of SQL, relational database management systems, data modeling, data warehousing, and normalization. Strong understanding of effective UI and effective conveyance of information and/or insight.
