Are you looking for a new challenge? The Equality, diversity and inclusion team are looking to recruit a Band 5 Diversity Co-Ordinator to join our busy and exciting multi-disciplinary team on a 12-month fixed term to cover maternity leave.

The successful candidate will support the Head of Diversity in providing specialist support in integrating diversity within Trust structures and everyday practice, in accordance with current equality legislation and national NHS performance frameworks. Additionally to contribute to the implementation and design of tools and resources that assist in supporting the diversity needs of staff and patients.

Interviews; 26th June 2024

  • Support the Head of Diversity in ensuring the Trust is meeting its statutory equality duties and is complying with NHS equality assurance frameworks and standards.
  • Lead on the implementation of specified diversity projects (with the input of multi-disciplinary teams); to improve the experience of staff and service users from diverse backgrounds; e.g. Lead on Befriender Scheme, coordinate the Development Centre for the BAME Leadership Development Programme and other associated events, co-ordinate work-streams relating to LGBT inclusion e.g. Stonewall workplace accreditation and Disability inclusion (list is indicative of duties and is not exhaustive).
  • Contribute Support to the commissioning, design, delivery and facilitation of bespoke Diversity awareness training, to ensure staff are aware of the Trust's equality policy and procedural framework.
  • Analyse and provide commentary on patient diversity scorecard and populate staff diversity scorecard for the Equality & Diversity steering group and associated sub-groups.
  • Support the development of Trust diversity policies that relate to staff and patient care. E.g. Transgender Policy, Disability Policy, Equality Policy.
  • Service the Equality & Diversity Steering Group, and facilitate the implementation of work arising from the steering group, monitor work arising from associated sub-groups.
  • Monitor completion of ElAs and assist in providing quality assurance,
