Events Marketing Strategist – Maternity Leave Coverage

Position Overview:
Jewish National Fund-USA is seeking an Event Marketing Strategist to be responsible for the marketing strategy and execution for events around the country. This position is a maternity leave cover, working full-time hours, running from late Fall 2024 through May 2025 (approximately 6 months). This role will work out of our NYC office and report into the Director, Marketing.
The Event Marketing Strategist will work closely with members of the Marketing Department as well as fundraisers and event professionals across the country to strategize, supervise, and help execute the production of event marketing collateral. The Strategist will:
- Meet with fundraising and events teams to understand the goals of each event and determine how best to reach them
- Develop a recruitment strategy to market the event to the appropriate constituencies
- Communicate the plan to the relevant stakeholders
- Provide briefs to marketing copywriter and marketing associate
- Establish and managing timelines for all marketing materials
- Effectively delegate tasks to marketing associates
- Review and sign off on all relevant event marketing materials in
Collateral will include but not be limited to: invitations, flyers, postcards, emails, digital presentations, signage, landing and registration pages, ads, event videos, tribute journals, event PowerPoint presentation.
The right candidate for this role will be extremely organized with an acute attention to detail, creative, a strong writer and proofreader, able to juggle many projects at once, and great working with people.
Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational skills a must
- Must be extremely detail oriented and able to multi-task in an exceptionally busy environment
- Excellent written and oral communications skills a must
- Desire to learn new skills
- Pro-active and energetic; ability to work on own with minimal daily supervision
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Some understanding of print production and digital marketing
- Minimum 2 years work experience in an agency or other marketing capacity
- Bachelor's degree
Compensation:
$30-40/hour
