WORKING HOURS: Monday - Friday
We are looking for Fabricators/Welders for Day and Afternoon shifts. (Overtime may be required)
RATE: $28-$32 per hour - Afternoon shift premium $2/hour
LOCATION(S): Decatur, GA

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• MIG/TIG welding and metal finishing.
• Read and interpret weld symbols and blueprints.
• Works with various metals including carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum.
• Ability to setup and adjust welder (heat, speed, feed, etc.)
• Proficient with hand and measuring tools (hammer, saw, caliper, square, grinder, etc.)
• Ability to use secondary machines such as drill press, shear, saw, etc.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on production line machinery or tools.
• Material handling of bar stock or sheet stock.
• Ensure all safety protocols are observed while maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.
• Timely and professional communication with management on the status of daily tasks and requests.
• Responsible for quality control. Make necessary adjustments to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications (check with supervisors).
• Operate forklift, overhead cranes, or mobile yard cranes (if qualified).
• Work shifts work as required.
• Must meet other qualifications and checklists as required.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years of experience as a welder and fabricator.
• Welding certification is a plus.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick.
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform tasks that require manual labor.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.
