WORKING HOURS: Monday - Friday
RATE: $21-$23/hour
STATUS: Full Time, Permanent
LOCATION: Decatur, GA

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare outgoing orders for shipping using UPS, FedEx, and DHL systems as well as other shipping companies in a timely manner.
• Responsible for quality control; produce product within specifications; reject product outside of specifications.
• Accurately weigh and label shipments and ensure the weights and dimensions are correct.
• Labels products when applicable.
• Ensure all shipments are appropriately packaged and labeled according to international and domestic shipping regulations.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure timely, cost efficient, and compliant movement of goods.
• Decants adhesives/primers/cleaners.
• Load and unload goods from trucks or alternative transport vehicles with precision and efficiency.
• Ensure safe HAZMAT staging of materials, labels and shipping.
• Conduct inspections of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Utilize material handling equipment to move and organize shipments.
• Unpack, categorize, and route goods to their designated storage areas.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

SKILLS/SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with packing HAZMAT materials.
• Proficient in various physical activities such as lifting, bending, carrying, pushing and pulling.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Have conducted inspections of incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure product quality and quantity meet company standards.
• Experience in operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and documentation related to shipments and inventory.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
