We’re looking for Food and Beverage Team Members to join our team at Beningbrough Hall. This role will involve a variety of activities including basic food preparation, serving hot food and cakes, taking payment through the till, making hot drinks, clearing tables, washing dishes, or working in one of our secondary outlets scooping ice cream.

You will be working with a group of 8-15 people each day to help deliver high standards of food safety and cleanliness, as well as creating a warm and welcoming environment for our visitors.

Hours: This role is an hourly paid, fixed term role. Wherever possible we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but we’re looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. We’d give you as much notice of this as possible.

The number of days per week are flexible to suit your need, but overall will be weighted towards the summer season. We can offer up to 5 days a week from April-October. There is weekend and Bank Holiday working involved, but there are no evening or split shifts. Shifts are usually 6-7.5 hours in length and take place between 9am-6pm.

Salary: £11.50 per hour.

Duration: Fixed Term Contract until 28th February 2026

Interview date: between 10th-23rd February

What you'll be doing:As a Team Member, your main focus will be front of house, dealing directly with people. You’ll welcome and look after everyone who comes to the café. With your love of working with people, your ‘can-do’ attitude and your desire to provide an outstanding service, you’ll be making sure everyone has an enjoyable time. This is a lively business that’s constantly on the go, so teamwork and adaptability are crucial.

You’ll be keen to understand what people want, to help them and to make recommendations. You’ll always keep the standards of food and drink preparation and presentation high. Using your excellent eye for detail, you’ll make sure all displays and signs are accurate and looking good. At times, you may need to help the kitchen team with preparing food.

We’ll give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role. You can sign up for further professional training and development if you wish.
