You will gain knowledge and hands-on practical skills working alongside friendly, experienced staff at Kew Gardens.
You will gain experience in various parts of Kew Gardens, including the formal gardens, arboretum (tree collections), nurseries and public glasshouses. Kew is one of the world’s leading botanic gardens, famous for its amazing living plant collections.
Students will enhance their horticultural skills and undertake day release at Capel Manor College, achieving the horticultural qualification The Maintenance Gardener (Level 1).
This course will give you an introduction into the gardening industry, providing you with additional horticultural knowledge and the opportunity to gain further practical skills.
Once you have successfully completed the course, you will have the experience and knowledge to apply for many horticultural apprenticeships around the UK including Kew’s own Apprenticeship.

The salary for this position is £22,718 per annum (pro rata)
