Job Description
The Inventory and Warehouse Support Associate is responsible for performing accurate weigh-count inventory transactions along with receipts and audits of plastic parts, component inventory, tooling, and warehouse locations. The position primarily supports our plastic injection molding department, but provides assistance to multiple departments as needed. The Inventory and Warehouse Support Associate will also perform preparation and transport of finished product, tooling, and raw material pallets.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform accurate weigh-counts and location transfers of plastics parts in production and component inventory while recording transactions using in-house inventory management systems.
- Prepare and transport product and raw material pallets to and from adjacent facilities.
- Read production schedules or follow written and verbal directions to ensure staging/storage of tooling in a safe and efficient manner.
- Support Tooling and Die Cast Operations by providing short notice tooling transport between facilities.
- Supply machine operators with production components and assist in allocating and issuing material to work orders.
- Work closely with leads and supervisors to ensure accurate receipts, allocations and material issue quantities.
- Perform regular audits of work order receipts, component inventory and injection facility locations, and report findings.
- Communicate and develop process improvement as needed.
- Flexible and able to work in other departments as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; job requires applicants to stand, bend, reach, lift, and move about the facilities.
- Knowledge of basic warehouse and receiving processes.
- Applicant must be safety conscious and able to work independently.
- Reliable attendance and effective problem-solving skills.
- Position requires valid Washington State Driver’s License and in-house Forklift Certification.
- Use of manual and electric pallet jack, bridge crane, and standing pallet lift required.
- Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and perform simple math.
- Able to work effectively as a team member in fast paced environment with fluid priorities.
Education
GED or High School diploma preferred.
Hourly Range: $20.25 – $24.00 per hour
