In this rewarding role you will share your knowledge by working directly with our customers. About you | Ko Koe Tēnei
You will have an enthusiasm for developing and delivering library programmes to children and youth, and to build and maintain library collections. Your passion will encourage children and their whanau, and get them excited about reading, technology and creativity.
We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, customer-focused, and creative library professional. You will have the skills to engage with your community, and the leadership and confidence to develop, promote and deliver innovative library programmes, events and services. You will have a collaborative approach and comfortably demonstrate your whanaungatanga and manaakitanga every day.
Qualifications and experience requirements: Level 5 qualification and a minimum of 1 year relevant experience, along with knowledge and understanding of children's librarianship, including collection management, planning and programming.

- Hours of work - Permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week), Sunday - Thursday including one evening shift to 8pm per week
- Location - This position is primarily based at Tūranga, 60 Cathedral Square, Christchurch
- Salary - $65,502 - $72,780 per Annum - Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
