IT and Library Services (ILS) provide resources, services and security across the university; our libraries and IT support teams play a vital role in offering high-quality services and state-of-the-art facilities to our students, staff and visitors.

We are looking for committed, enthusiastic and proactive individuals to join the Library & IT Support Assistant (LITSA) team, working across the University of Greenwich Library Services, to contribute towards providing an outstanding student/user experience and customer service.

Key responsibilities include the following:

  • Technical support and user assistance with library and IT-related queries.
  • Providing a high level of customer service.
  • Organising, collecting, processing and shelving library materials.
  • Helping users with e-resources, the library catalogue and self-service kiosks.
  • Assisting users with a range of IT systems and software.
  • Carrying out checks on equipment and library areas.
  • Help maintain an environment suitable for effective study.

Important information:

This is a zero-hour contract up to 20 hours per week, which requires flexibility to work across the week, including evenings and weekends, as part of a rota.

You must be prepared to travel to all university campuses for work and/or training as required.

Regular hours are expected to continue until mid-May 2025.

If your application is successful, you will be required to participate in mandatory training.
