JOB PURPOSE: Maintains all facility equipment in optimal operation condition. Ensures all equipment is operational, mechanically and electrically, through means of an effective preventative/predictive maintenance program. Ensures all maintenance and repair work is properly performed in a timely and cost effective manner. Provides for all boiler/refrigeration service necessary for the processing and freezing of the finished product. Directs the efforts of all maintenance employees to ensure quality of workmanship and maximum effectiveness of their efforts.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prioritize and deploy resources across CRR, Plant 1, 2, & 3, and E&I areas to address immediate issues and planned work.
• Manage contracted work through direct reports for each area.
• Provide direction for maintaining and operation of all physical equipment to ensure proper utilization.
• Investigate and eliminate mechanical or maintenance problems, which would affect manufacturing schedules.
• Develop subordinates to their fullest potential through training, progressive discipline programs.
• Conduct special studies as assigned, or perform self-initiated studies designed to improve departmental and factory performance.
• Possess and keep current on the most advanced information on manufacturing maintenance.
• Maintain open communications between departments and employees.
• Create an environment that encourages Employee Engagement.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:

• Maintains effective relationships with peers, direct staff, and hourly personnel
• Take timely and effective actions to control unfavorable expenditure trends, which would result in exceeding the maintenance and repair budget.
• Identify and exploit opportunities to improve MTTR and MTBF, monitors downtime, department KPI’s, and trends.

KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:

• Incumbent must have a general working knowledge of all factory operations including raw product systems, processing, packaging, palletizing, freezing, steam generation, instrumentation, etc.
• Administrative and computer skills would be very beneficial in this position.
• Five to ten years’ experience in a maintenance supervisory role, preferably in a food-processing environment is essential.
• An Associates, Bachelor’s Degree, and/or proven experience in a related field is desirable.

OTHER INFORMATION:

• Key internal relationships; Safety, Food Safety, Human Resources, Production, Sanitation, and Quality Managers
• Travel; 2-4 domestic trips per year
• Job is primarily performed in a standard office environment
• The position requires the incumbent to be available for consultation during all hours the factory is in operation under production, as well as being available for weekend/holiday work on a routine basis as required.
