Mechanical Engineer (Jamshoro)

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the Operational staff (Haleon /Third Party for outsourced Utilities) of the assigned site Utility Water system including (Purified water, Domestic hot and Cold water, Potable water) & Compressed air system for reliable, energy efficient, compliant, consistent, and smooth supply to enable production as per supply plan.
• Supervise and Maintain operations for Central utilities vacuum system, e.g., Supply to QA etc.
• Management of Gases in Cylinders with all Cylinder storage, handling, and distribution till point of use.
• Implement Maintenance Management system including Risk based Inspection (RBI) and preventive/corrective maintenance for water and compressed air system and other assigned Utilities system and facility services, in compliance to OEM recommendations, Global Engineering, EHS, QMS, Local Regulatory/statuary requirements, through on-site teams/outsourcing contractors. This includes Engineering Spares for area of responsibility and Update CMMS for all breakdown, corrective and Preventive maintenance.
• Conduct daily GEMBA, report all abnormalities, deviations and conduct Problem solving of all breakdowns, deviations. Check and confirm all Utilities operations of assigned zones comply to SOP, verify the logbooks, keep them updated with all data integrity principles with QMS/EHS/GES compliance.
• Implement Engineering & EHS standards in assigned Utilities Systems and facility services through a structured program of standard GAP analysis and action plan implementation. Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures of assigned Utilities system operation and maintenance and ensure the in-place and in-use status.
• Conduct documented self-inspection (Level 1 audit), risk assessments of assigned Utilities /facility services and implement mitigation plans.
• Being the owner of assigned zone, keep the areas clean, workplace is safe and ready for inspection Identify and implement value engineering projects (using Capital projects/ OPEX), upgrades/ replacement of assigned Utilities, facility services.
• Attend Performance meetings and keep updated the assigned KPIs.
• Responsible for Permit to work & Contractor management at site in line with standards and SOPs.
• Calibration Representative of all Utilities system (GMP, EHS and business critical Instruments)
• PO/PR Initiation in Procurement system for Utilities system
• Actively support timely completion of site DI plan deliverables, participate in DI forums, serve as a DI POC, and share DI
• Communications with team via daily DI Talk.
• Identify opportunities to improve process & documentation to strengthen DI controls over data vulnerabilities for 100% DI compliance culture at site.
  
  
  

Education and Experience:

• B.E / B.S / B tech Engineering
• 5-year experience in the relevant field of Utilities supervision and complete understanding of role and responsibilities defined above with embedded technical and managerial competencies
• Technical Knowledge of system design, operation and maintenance of Boilers, chillers, HVAC controls, pharmaceutical water, air and steam systems, Effluent Treatment Plant.
