Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Mid-Level Systems Engineers to support the Regulatory Administration Team in Everett, WA. This engineering role will support the compliance of International Type Validation for production programs.

The successful candidate will have certification experience as well as experience in the development and execution of project and process planning, implementing policies and procedures.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and collaborate with the Federal Aviation Administration and foreign regulatory agencies to execute international type validation projects

  • Navigate various regulatory processes to find solutions to complex problems, while providing guidance to all airplane programs

  • Ensure regulator actions are successfully captured, implemented, and closed in a timely manner

  • Communicate airplane validation risks to across all models

  • Define and communicate validation task priorities to internal and external stakeholders

  • Lead and facilitate discussions with the FAA, foreign regulatory agencies, and airplane program leaders

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett, WA.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 3+ years of experience in a role developing, leading, and executing projects and utilizing project processes / skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with designing and implementing policies and procedures

  • Previous aerospace industry experience

  • Experience in FAA certification or airworthiness

  • Experience with airplane safety and certification processes

  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Ability to gain trust of team and guide their careers

Typical Education / Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: $104,550 - $141,450
