Operations Agent - Air Export

Expedite and route movement of incoming and outgoing cargo and freight shipments in airline, trucking terminals, and shipping docks. Communicate and receive orders from customers and arrange pickup of freight and cargo for delivery to loading platform. Prepare and examine bills of lading to determine shipping charges and tariffs. To process export shipments accurately and timely, in compliance with U.S. export regulations and customer expectations.

Paid Time Off (PTO)
- PTO begins to accrue for eligible new hires on their first day of employment with the Company, subject to the accrual cap.
Paid Holidays
- Newly hired employees are entitled to all mandatory and optional/shift holidays that remain for the calendar year. A newly hired employee who begins employment after January 1 of the calendar year is not entitled to more than ten (12) paid holidays for that calendar year.
Retirement Plan
- 401(k) Plan (current employer match .50 cents for each employee dollar) subject to the current vesting schedule.
Student Loan Assistance
- Eligible for student loan assistance after three (3) months of continuous employment, pending verification.
- Company monthly contribution of $437.50, not to exceed an annual contribution of $5,250.00.
- Any eligible employee participating in both Student Loan Assistance Program and Tuition Reimbursement Program is subject to a total maximum annual amount of $5,250.00 for both programs combined for the calendar year.
Tuition Reimbursement
- Eligibility for Tuition Reimbursement is three (3) months of continuous employment.
- Reimbursement is limited to $5,250.00 per employee per calendar year.
- Any eligible employee participating in both Student Loan Assistance Program and Tuition Reimbursement Program is subject to a total maximum annual amount of $5,250.00 for both programs combined for the calendar year.
Wellness Day
- Eligible for one (1) Wellness Day for an annual physical exam per year subject to submission of required documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Enter shipment data into computer system in order to generate required documents and labels, apply rates and charges, arrange export clearance through U.S. Customs, and track shipments with carriers from origin to destination. Daily
2. Arrange pick-up of shipments from customer or vendor to Kintetsu World Express, (U.S.A.), Inc (KWE) location. Arrange transfer of shipments from KWE to carrier. Daily
3. Arrange flights with airlines for customer shipments, provide flight information and shipment details to customers. Daily
4. Print documents for shipments, then assemble and distribute as required for export. Print and apply cargo labels to shipments. Daily
5. Close Master Air Waybill (MAWB) and check the entry data of MAWB and House Air Waybill (HAWB) for correction, if needed please revise.
7. Assist in visually inspecting freight, ensuring it has the necessary stickers to ship out correctly As needed
8. Create invoices for customer shipments, third party, and freehouse billings. Daily
9. Provide service and support to customers and overseas offices regarding status, transit, or irregularities of shipments. Daily
10. Maintaining and updating customer templates, pre-alert distribution lists, and new customer ID’s As needed
11. Run reports for tracking milestones as required for Quality Management System (QMS). Weekly
12. Creating and updating non-conformance reports to ensure that QMS standards are maintained. As needed
13. Assist in creating and updating operations and customer Standard Oprating Procedures (SOP). As needed
14. Assist Supervisor or Manager on Request For Quote (RFQ) rate or service data preparation Yearly. (As needed)

List any required skills (computer, machinery, typing, etc.): Adequate typing skills (30 – 40wpm), computer literacy, familiarity with basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
List any required special attributes: Ability to lift objects unassisted that weigh up to 50 lbs, attention to detail and multi-tasking.

List any preferred educational attainments (degrees, certificates, licenses, etc.): Dangerous Goods (DG) Certification, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and International Air Transport Association (IATA) knowledge/training.
